Cumming 

Cumming, Georgia, is a suburban city in Forsyth County. It is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The city's population was 5,430 at the 2010 census, up from just over four thousand people in 2000. Cumming is a predominantly suburban community. Its residents are mostly professionals in business, but the town is also home to students and young families.

While it may not be as cosmopolitan as Atlanta or Savannah, Cumming is close to a wide range of recreational activities. The town of Cumming was incorporated as a city in 1834, and was originally just a small town. The town was established on two forty-acre lots that were issued as part of the Georgia State Land Lottery. These lots were purchased by the justices of the Forsyth County Inferior Court, who recognized the need for a township for the county. Today, Cumming is a thriving community that offers a wide range of amenities and entertainment.

Cumming is located in north-central Georgia, near the southern Appalachian Mountains. The climate is mild, with the coldest months occurring in January. If you love nature, you can visit Sawnee Mountain, the highest point in Forsyth County and Metro Atlanta. Forsyth County has four excellent libraries. The libraries also host regular events.

The town is also located near Lake Lanier, which is a popular recreational spot for residents of Cumming. You can enjoy water sports, kayaking, and other activities with your friends. Residents of Cumming can easily access the nearby lake via GA-400. In addition to this, Cumming has many parks and nature preserves.

If you're looking for a family activity, Cumming's Little Ridge Park offers multiple options. Besides hiking trails, this dog-friendly park also has multiple boating spots. There's also a water park where you can play a variety of sports, including fishing. There are a number of local groups and talented performers. The town is also home to the historic Cumming Public School, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Central Park is an 85-acre community park. It is the largest facility of its kind in Forsyth County. It has baseball diamonds, softball diamonds, two soccer fields, two lacrosse fields, eight tennis courts, an 18-hole disc golf course, and many other activities and amenities.

The Cumming Country Fair & Festival is an 11-day event that draws more than two hundred thousand people. It is one of the largest events in the city and has been named the best community event four years in a row. During the fair, you can sample tasty fair food, thrilling rides, and memorable performances and ground acts. It runs from October 6 to October 16, 2022.

Another great place for families to visit is The Cumming Aquatic Center & Water Park. This facility features an Olympic-sized indoor pool and an outdoor water park.
