Cumming 

Cumming is a city in Forsyth County, Georgia. It is the only incorporated city in the county and is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. At the 2010 census, the population was 5,430. Cumming is home to a small downtown area with quaint shops and unique restaurants. The city also boasts the City of Cumming Fairgrounds, which draws crowds from all over North Georgia. Several events are held at the fairgrounds throughout the year. These events help draw a larger crowd to the area.

Summer Camps are available in Cumming, GA. Children of all ages can attend a camp. There are many fun activities for kids, including camps that focus on their favorite interests. There are special arts camps for teens, as well as sports camps. A variety of classes are available, including tumbling, filmmaking, and rock camp.

The city's location is close to Lake Lanier, and residents can enjoy recreational activities on the lake. Boats, kayaks, and other watercraft can be used to enjoy the lake with family and friends. Visitors to Cumming can easily access GA-400, a major highway that connects Atlanta with the Lake.

The best place to eat a delicious sandwich in Cumming is Marie's Italian Deli. This deli also boasts an excellent Italian bakery. They make amazing baked goods every day. The Italian deli also offers cold and hot subs. If you're a meatball or Italian sausage lover, this is the place for you.

Although Cumming isn't a large city, the area is relatively affordable. Most homes for sale in the city are new construction, making it an excellent place to purchase a brand-new home. The median home price is $81,378, which is comparatively lower than other areas of Georgia. Most of the shopping is located near the interstate, but there are many areas of town with no traffic.

Big Creek Greenway is a multi-use trail in the area. It runs through the city and stretches eleven miles through Forsyth County. There are four trailheads in the area. Parking and restroom facilities are available along the trail. Visitors can enjoy the scenery from a wide vantage point.

The town has many places for local entertainment and shopping. Sawnee Mountain Preserve is an excellent place to take a hike and enjoy the scenic land. There are 11 miles of hiking trails here and two playgrounds. It's also home to an interactive Visitor Center. This attraction is ideal for families and those looking for outdoor activities.

Cumming gained national attention in 1987 when a small group of civil rights demonstrators marched through the town on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to commemorate the day. The group met Ku Klux Klan protesters, who threw stones in the march. The demonstration was a success and the city was able to attract more people to the city. Check this out
