Cumming, Georgia, is a suburban city in Forsyth County. The city is a part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, the city's population was 5,430. In 2000, the population was 4,200. It is located just north of Atlanta. Cumming is the only incorporated city in Forsyth County.
During the twentieth century, Cumming experienced racial tension and intolerance, which led to many people moving away from the area.
